MINUTEMAN
TIER 3: Field Training –– Suitable for
standard field deployment, emergency response, communications,
recruitment, administrative, manual labor, watch duty, perimeter
security details, and NCO command.
Training:
- Team Development – UCM 1-203-1
- Team Maneuvers/Riot Control – UCM1-203-2
- Advanced Life Saving (Red Cross ALS or EMT will suffice) – UCM1-203-3
- Combat Communications – UCM 1-203-4
- Medical Evacuation/9-line – UCM 1-203-5
- Noxious gas and chemical irritant mitigation – UCM 1-203-6
- Field weapon maintenance – UCM 1-203-7
Gear:
- FRS/GMRS radio and spare battery(ies)
- Level III(A) or higher armor plates (2)
- MICH/ACH/FAST/ECH non-ballistic bump helmet
- In Ear or over ear radio receiver
- Reinforced nylon webbing belt with rappel ring
- Large steel carabiner
- Trauma Kit
- Sewn nylon runner
- Mini chemlights
- Expandable Baton
- Two (2) flex cuffs or large zip-ties
- Pepper spray canister
- Johnson’s Baby Shampoo
- Mylanta Antacid
- AR-15 Field cleaning kit
- Goggles
- Watch with second hand or digital second countdown
Physical:
- Run/walk/jog 2 miles with full kit in 45 minutes
- Fireman’s carry 200 pounds 50 yards
- Two-man drag 200 pounds 50 yards
- 25 sit-ups (10 minutes)
- Ability to squat lift 50 pounds
